Chandigarh, November 5, 2025 (Navroze Bureau) – The Punjab Government on Wednesday has accepted the resignation of Ravi Chawla, Technical Advisor (on contract) in the Punjab Roads and Bridges Development Board (PRBDB). A resident of Patiala and a retired Chief Engineer from the Public Works Department (Buildings and Roads), Chawla had tendered his resignation which was accepted on November 5, 2025. Following its acceptance, the department has relieved him from his duties with immediate effect.
According to the official orders issued by the Secretary, Public Works Department (PWD), all concerned departments have been directed to ensure that future vetting and approvals related to road and bridge works should be carried out at their respective levels.
After retiring as Chief Engineer from the Punjab PWD, Chawla was appointed as Technical Advisor to the PRBDB on June 20, 2024. Prior to this, he had served in several key positions, including Chief Engineer, National Highways, Technical Advisor to the Punjab Government, Technical Advisor to the Managing Director of PIDB, and Nodal Officer for the Central Road Fund (CRF) and Railways.
