Ferozepur, March 25 : Taking a remarkable step towards women empowerment, the District Employment Generation, Skill Development & Training Bureau and Punjab Skill Development Mission, Ferozepur, have facilitated the employment of 29 skilled girls. These girls were sent for jobs at Shahi Exports, Bangalore, under the guidance of Harjinder Singh, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development), Ferozepur.
Providing detailed information, he stated that after completing three months of skill development training, these girls secured jobs at Shahi Exports. He further mentioned that these girls belong to border villages and were trained under the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana. This initiative was carried out in collaboration with the Punjab Skill Development Mission, Ferozepur, and C.H.H. D.S. Educational & Welfare Society.
He highlighted that this training program has equipped these women with industry-related skills, paving the way for their financial independence and career growth. This achievement showcases the impact of the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana in promoting skill development and generating employment opportunities for women. It serves as an inspiration to further expand career-oriented training programs for young women.
The Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) performed the flag-off ceremony by offering sweets to the girls and wished them a bright future. Congratulating the newly employed girls, he encouraged them for their journey ahead.
On this occasion, Shri Sarabjit Singh, Mission Manager of Punjab Skill Development Mission, Shri Gurjant Singh, Placement Officer, D.B.E.E. Ferozepur, Anuj Kakkar, Center Incharge, Vikas Kumar, Trainer, and Sudesh Kumari were present.
