Police Achieve Major Success Following Punjab Government’s Strict Directives

Dinanagar 27 June 2025 : Under the anti-drug campaign launched by the Punjab government, the police have achieved another major success. Acting on the directives of the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Punjab and the Director General of Police, and under the supervision of the Border Range Amritsar Deputy Director and the Senior Superintendent of Police, Gurdaspur, the Behrampur police set up a special checkpoint and stopped a vehicle.

During the inspection, the police recovered 270 grams of heroin, a pistol, a magazine, and 5 live cartridges from three individuals in the car. The vehicle, a TUV with registration number PB06A1140, was also seized.

DSP Dinanagar, Rajinder Mihnas, informed during a press conference that the arrested individuals have been identified as Malkit Singh alias Gullu (son of Balwinder Singh, resident of Lakhanpal), Rishi Saini (son of Prem Saini, resident of Udaipur), and Parth Saini (son of Vikas Saini, resident of Udaipur).

The police have registered a case against the accused and started further investigation. It has also come to light that Malkit Singh already has several cases registered under the Arms Act in various police stations, while Rishi Saini also has cases related to robbery and illegal weapons. The police have taken the accused into custody and begun a detailed interrogation, from which more revelations are expected.
