Gurdaspur, 3 July 2025 : Under the directives of the Punjab government, the district administration has launched Mission Umeed to give wings to the dreams of the youth. As part of this initiative, the Gurdaspur District Administration, in collaboration with Chetan Bharat Learning and through the District Employment Bureau, is starting a free course under “Mission Umeed – A Fight Against Drugs” to help youth prepare for the UPSC and PCS exams.
Sharing this information, Deputy Commissioner Dalvinderjeet Singh said that the district administration has designed this program to provide fully free, high-quality, and structured coaching for the youth of the district to prepare for UPSC Civil Services and PCS examinations. He mentioned that a live induction class will be held on Friday, July 4, 2025, and regular classes will begin on Monday, July 7, 2025.
The Deputy Commissioner said that these coaching classes will include daily sessions on General Studies, lectures, answer writing practice and evaluation, and regular preparation for both Prelims and Mains exams. The objective of this initiative is to comprehensively prepare students for the 2026, 2027, and 2028 UPSC and PCS examinations.
He also informed that a PCS crash course is already being conducted at the District Employment Bureau, Room No. 218, First Floor, District Administrative Complex, Gurdaspur. Based on student demand, a foundation batch is now being launched at the same location, which will prepare aspirants for both UPSC and PCS exams.
