4 July 2025 : DSP Rajanpal, posted in Crime Against Women Cell in Faridkot, has been arrested after being caught attempting to bribe senior officials.
According to police sources, DSP Rajanpal tried to offer a bribe of Rs 1 lakh to officials at the office of the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) in an effort to suppress a corruption complaint filed against him.
Following this, an FIR was registered under the Prevention of Corruption Act, and the officer was taken into custody.
