7 July 2025  : On his 40th birthday, Ranveer Singh gifts fans the first look of his upcoming film ‘Dhurandhar’ – features Muhammad Sadiq’s iconic song

Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh gave a special gift to his fans on the occasion of his 40th birthday. On Sunday, July 7, the first look of his much-awaited film ‘Dhurandhar’ was released, in which he can be seen in a powerful action avatar. Directed by Aditya Dhar, the film casts Ranveer Singh as a spy. The first look gives a glimpse of his mysterious character, and the action sequences shown in it are absolutely stunning.

The teaser begins with a powerful dialogue, followed by the voice of legendary Punjabi singer and former MP Muhammad Sadiq, featuring his iconic old superhit song “Na de dil pardesi nu, tenu nit da rona pai jaayega” (Don’t give your heart to a stranger, you’ll end up crying every day). Only the first two lines of the song have been used in the film, but they bring emotional depth to the scene.

After that, a fast-paced, energetic rap beat kicks in, signaling that the film will be packed with thrill and action. This new version of the song is sung by Sudhir Yadav and Jasmine, with lyrics penned by Kumaar. However, the hook line is directly taken from Muhammad Sadiq’s original song, written and sung by him around 8 years ago, which remains hugely popular among Punjabi audiences even today.

Alongside Ranveer Singh, the film also stars big names like R. Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Kapoor, and Akshaye Khanna. With its star-studded cast, direction, and music, Dhurandhar is already being talked about as one of the most anticipated films of 2025.

Summary:
Veteran Punjabi singer Muhammad Sadiq marks his Bollywood debut as one of his songs will be featured in a forthcoming Ranveer Singh movie, signaling his crossover into mainstream Hindi cinema.
