CM Mann Reacts Strongly to ’12 PM’ Remark, Sparks Assembly Chaos

Chandigarh  11 July 2025: During Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s speech in the Punjab Assembly, opposition leader Partap Singh Bajwa began raising a commotion. Responding calmly at first, the CM said, “Bajwa sahab, you will also get a chance to speak. There’s a lot of day left—it’s only 12 o’clock.”

To this, Bajwa retorted, “It may be 12 o’clock for you, not for us,” triggering a major uproar in the House. Members of the ruling party got visibly agitated, accusing Bajwa of making a remark offensive to a particular religion.

CM Mann, responding firmly, said, “The real issue is that these people can’t tolerate someone else in the Chief Minister’s chair.” He further added, “Congress has been putting on a drama in this state for 60 years.” This led to a heated exchange between the treasury and opposition benches, causing disruption in the Assembly proceedings.
