Punjab 23 July 2025: Rain that started late at night continues across Punjab. This has led to a significant drop in temperature, providing relief from the intense heat. Since this morning, dense clouds have once again covered many areas, causing darkness in some regions. Light drizzle has also begun in several places. The Meteorological Department has predicted rainfall throughout the week.
According to the India Meteorological Department, rainfall will be experienced across the state today, with heavy rain expected in many areas. A yellow alert has been issued for Pathankot, Hoshiarpur, and Rupnagar.
As per the latest update from the department, by around 10:30 AM today, moderate rainfall with thunderstorms and winds blowing at speeds of 30–40 km/h is likely in Sangrur, Patiala, Moga, Ferozepur, Jalandhar, Tarn Taran, and Kapurthala.
The department has also predicted rainfall to continue till July 28. Due to the ongoing rain, temperatures across the state are steadily declining, and the maximum temperature is ranging between 30–35°C.
