Tarn Taran, 25 July 2025: The last date for online registration for the Prime Minister National Child Award has now been extended to August 15, 2025. Sharing this information, Deputy Commissioner of Tarn Taran, Mr. Rahul, IAS, stated that children who are Indian citizens and under the age of 18 as of the last date of application, and who meet the required eligibility criteria, can apply online for the Prime Minister National Child Award through the website https://awards.gov.in. The National Child Award includes a medal that is presented by the Hon’ble Prime Minister.
The Deputy Commissioner further explained that the Hon’ble Prime Minister presents this award annually to children who have performed acts of exceptional bravery, as well as to specially-abled children who have achieved remarkable accomplishments due to their unique talents. It is also awarded to extraordinary children who have made nationally recognized contributions in the fields of sports, social service, science and technology, environment, arts and culture, and innovation.
He clarified that, apart from this, the “Bharatiya Bal Kalyan Parishad,” which is known for its so-called bravery awards, is not recognized or supported in any way by the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India.
