District-Level Aadhaar Monitoring Committee Meeting Chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner

Tarn Taran,30 July 2025 : A special meeting of the District-Level Aadhaar Monitoring Committee was held under the chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Shri Rajdeep Singh Brar to review work related to child enrolments and mandatory biometric updates of citizens.

Shri Rajdeep Singh Brar, ADC Tarn Taran, along with Shri Madhur Bansal, Project Manager, UIDAI Regional Office Chandigarh, held an online meeting to review the Aadhaar enrolment status and strengthen related working systems.

The ADC directed the Health Department to organize maximum Aadhaar registration camps in hospitals, nursing homes, and vaccination centers of district Tarn Taran for the enrolment of newborns and children below 5 years of age.

He further instructed officials from various departments to regularly inspect Aadhaar enrolment centers to ensure proper functioning. He appealed to the residents of Tarn Taran to complete their mandatory biometric updates (MBU) at the age of 5 and 15.

The Education Department was directed to prepare a roster/schedule for Aadhaar kits in schools and to spread awareness among students and parents through schools.

Service centers were instructed to organize maximum Aadhaar registration and MBU camps in coordination with SDM offices of respective sub-divisions to clear pendency. All SDMs were also directed to expedite pending update cases related to Aadhaar cards for citizens above 18 years.

The District Programme Officer was directed to promote awareness and ensure maximum benefit through CDPOs and Anganwadi workers.

The Additional Deputy Commissioner appealed to the residents of the district to update their mobile numbers and documents with Aadhaar to avail uninterrupted government services.

Summary :
A special meeting of the District-Level Aadhaar Monitoring Committee was conducted under the leadership of the Additional Deputy Commissioner to review Aadhaar-related initiatives and progress.
