Faridkot 21 Aug 2025 : District Magistrate Madam Poonamdeep Kaur, IAS, exercising the powers vested under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, has issued restriction orders within the jurisdiction of District Faridkot. These orders will remain in force till October 14, 2025.
According to the orders issued by the District Magistrate:
- During any live show within District Faridkot, songs promoting liquor, drugs, excitement, or inciting violence will not be performed.
- Children below 12 years of age will not be allowed to enter cinemas/multiplexes where ‘A’ certified movies are screened.
- Around educational institutions, nude, semi-nude, or obscene posters will not be installed or displayed.
- Within District Faridkot, use of loudspeakers will be completely prohibited 15 days before and during annual examinations.
