Jalandhar 18 Sep 2025 : A major update has come regarding Punjab’s weather. In the coming days, changes will once again be seen in Punjab’s weather. According to the Meteorological Department, many parts of the state will remain cloudy, and on September 18 and 19, heavy rainfall is expected in different areas of Punjab, which will lead to a drop in temperature.
According to the information received from IMD, there is a strong possibility of rainfall particularly in Pathankot, Gurdaspur, Amritsar, Hoshiarpur, Nawanshahr, Rupnagar, and Mohali. Apart from this, Tarn Taran, Kapurthala, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Barnala, Mansa, Sangrur, Fatehgarh Sahib, and Patiala districts may also receive rain.
It is noteworthy that on Tuesday, the weather in Chandigarh Tricity suddenly changed, bringing cool winds during the day. Heavy rainfall was recorded in several places in Chandigarh, Mohali, and Panchkula. Now, the Meteorological Department has predicted rain in Chandigarh as well on September 18 and 19. The department has advised farmers to take care of their crops considering the rainfall and to make necessary arrangements in the fields in advance to avoid any damage. After this, on September 20 and 21, the weather in Punjab is expected to remain dry. No rain alert has been issued by the department for these two days.
