Government to Distribute 60 Quintals Mineral Mixture to Flood-Hit Farmers

Fazilka,23 Sep 2025 : To support livestock farmers in flood-affected villages of Fazilka district, the Animal Husbandry Department will distribute 60 quintals of mineral mixture (nutritional powder). Today, Deputy Commissioner Amarpreet Kaur Sandhu (IAS) flagged off the supply from the District Administrative Complex.

She informed that the department, with the support of various social organizations and donors, arranged mineral mixture worth nearly ₹12 lakh. It will be distributed to livestock farmers through special camps in affected villages.

Deputy Director Dr. Mandeep Singh said each animal should be given 50 grams of mineral mixture daily to maintain good health. He added that after floods, scarcity of fodder often leads to nutritional deficiencies in animals. This supplement will fulfill the requirement of essential trace elements and help sustain their productivity.

Several senior officials and veterinary doctors, including Dr. Jasmeen Kaur, Dr. Rajesh Jajoria, Dr. Sunit Sharma, Dr. Sahil Setia, Dr. Vishwadeep Pahwa, Dr. Nipun Khungar, Dr. Rishabh Jajoria, Dr. Saksham Sethi, Dr. Anmol, Shri Rajinder Prasad, and Shri Lal Chand, were also present on the occasion.
