25 Sep 2025 : The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the tentative dates for the Class 10 and 12 board examinations to be held in 2026. According to the proposed schedule, the board exams may be conducted between February 17 and July 15, 2026. The datesheet has been shared online on CBSE’s official website https://www.cbse.gov.in/.
As per the information, more than 45 lakh students are expected to appear for these examinations. Apart from India, the exams will also be held in 26 other countries. The evaluation of answer sheets will begin approximately 10 days after each subject exam and is expected to be completed within 12 days. For example, if the Class 12 Physics exam is conducted on February 20, 2026, the evaluation will begin on March 3 and continue until March 15.
Officials also clarified that the announced dates are not final and may be subject to changes.
