October 23, 2025 : A case has come to light involving an attempt to tarnish the image of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann by spreading a fake video of him on social media. The Cyber Cell has registered a case in this matter. Earlier, the Cyber Cell had filed a case in Mohali against a person named Jagman Samra, who allegedly uploaded the video.
Now, a major development has taken place in this case.
According to reports, the Mohali Court has issued notices to Facebook and Google, directing them to remove all objectionable and similar posts within 24 hours.
