Ban on provocative speeches and hate speech during rallies, meetings, protests, etc

Bathinda, December 20: The District Magistrate, Shri Shoakat Ahmad Puri, has issued orders under Section 163 of the Indian Citizen Security Act, 2023, exercising the powers granted to him.

According to the issued orders, a complete ban has been imposed on any form of provocative speeches or hate speeches aimed at causing harm to any individual, community, religion, caste, or social group during rallies, meetings, protests, etc., in the district.

The orders have been issued to maintain peace and order in the district, particularly to curb inflammatory statements. These orders will remain in effect until February 20, 2025.
