Hoshiarpur, December 23: Additional Deputy Commissioner (Rural Development) Nikas Kumar while reviewing the ongoing development works in the district today directed the officers to ensure that the benefits of welfare schemes reach all eligible persons and  Functions  In  He stressed on speeding up the process. While chairing a meeting of officers of various departments in the District Administrative Complex, he also got information about their work from the department heads. While reviewing the health programmes, the Additional Deputy Commissioner obtained information about the targets set by the department and the targets achieved. The Additional Deputy Commissioner took stock of the health programmes being run by the officials of different programmes and sought their assurance about achieving the targets. Instructions were given. While reviewing the various schemes being run by the health department, he instructed that health facilities should be provided to the district residents in a smooth manner. He said that people should also be made aware about the related schemes. This is very important because only with awareness can we take advantage of these schemes. He said that activities should be further intensified to ensure delivery of pregnant women in government hospitals. He said that during delivery, BPL families should be provided with proper medical care. The financial help given to women suffering from TB should also be provided smoothly. While giving instructions to ensure inspection of medical stores under Drug and Cosmetic Act, he said that strict action should be taken if any irregularity is found. He said that TB . More and more awareness should be spread regarding this disease and when such patients are found, they should be given immediate treatment.

While reviewing the works of the School Education Department, the Additional Deputy Commissioner directed the District Education Officer to obtain information about the working style of the School of Eminence selected for providing qualitative and excellent level education to the students of the district. During this, he He also instructed to maintain the quality of food provided under the mid-day meal scheme. He said that the education department should ensure cleanliness of bathrooms and rooms in schools as well as other facilities so that students get a good environment for studies. So that it can be given. During this time he also gained information about Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan and other programs of School Education Department. Apart from this he also gained information about solid and liquid waste management , housing scheme , MNREGA  Of  works , water supply and sanitation  The works, Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao, Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana, Smart Ration Card, Smart Village Campaign, Jal Jeevan Mission were also reviewed.

Nikaas Kumar directed all the officers to complete all the projects in a timely and quality manner. He especially emphasized on projects related to rural development , water supply , sanitation , road construction , education , health and sports. He said that the objective of the district administration is to ensure transparency , quality and timeliness in development works . All departments should ensure that the benefits of every scheme reach the general public.
