Chandigarh, December 24, 2024: Varun Dhawan is gearing up for his action-packed role in Atlee’s Baby John, set to release on December 25. Ahead of the film’s release, the cast, including Varun Dhawan, Keerthy Suresh, Wamiqa Gabbi, and director Atlee, visited the Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain to offer prayers and seek blessings for the film’s success. During the visit, Varun expressed his gratitude, stating, “It was a very good feeling offering prayers here at the temple. God is bigger than the film. I just prayed that people go and watch the movie…”
Baby John is an adaptation of Atlee’s 2016 Tamil film Theri and stars Varun Dhawan in the titular role, with Keerthy Suresh and Wamiqa Gabbi. Jackie Shroff plays the antagonist. The film is an action thriller and marks Keerthy’s Bollywood debut.
Despite the buzz surrounding Baby John, it will face tough competition from Pushpa 2: The Rule, which is already performing strongly at the box office. As of now, Baby John has sold only 50,000 tickets in advance, earning ₹2 crore. Varun Dhawan clarified that Baby John is not a direct remake of Theri, but rather an adaptation with significant changes to the film’s geography.
