Fazilka, August 10:
Madam Khushbu Sawna, wife of Fazilka MLA Shri Narinder Pal Singh Sawna, flagged off buses from the villages of Bandi Wala and Murad Wala under the Chief Minister’s Pilgrimage Scheme for devotees to visit various religious places.
The buses will take pilgrims to Sri Harmandir Sahib (Golden Temple), Sri Ram Tirath Temple, Sri Durgiana Temple, and the Wagah Border.
Madam Sawna said that under this scheme, the Punjab Government is providing free transportation, accommodation, and meals to the pilgrims so that they do not face any inconvenience during their journey. She said that many elderly devotees were earlier unable to visit religious places due to their age. The main objective of the Chief Minister’s Pilgrimage Scheme is to provide easy, safe, and free pilgrimage services to senior citizens and religious devotees.
She said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab Government has launched the Chief Minister’s Pilgrimage Scheme, through which devotees are being facilitated to visit various religious places. She added that the pilgrims were visibly happy and enthusiastic and were warmly appreciating the Punjab Government’s initiative, which has given them an opportunity to visit these religious sites.
On this occasion, Bandi Wala Sarpanch Ravinder Pal Bittu, members Sukhpal Singh, Santosh Rani, Suman Rani, Murad Wala Sarpanch Madan Lal, Bhim Sen, Block representative Pinder, MC Ward In-charge Bittu Setia, and Shekhar Kumar, President, were also present.
