‘Ramayana Part 1’: Ranbir Kapoor and Yash to Meet Fans in Delhi, Bengaluru Ahead of November 6 Release

3 September 2026 (Navroze Bureau) :  The makers of Ramayana Part 1 are gearing up for an extensive pan-India promotional campaign ahead of the film’s worldwide theatrical release on November 6, 2026.

As part of the campaign, Ranbir Kapoor and Yash are expected to meet fans in Delhi and Bengaluru on October 31 and November 1, respectively. A similar promotional event is also reportedly being considered in Hyderabad.

Ranbir Kapoor to Lead Delhi Fan Event

Ranbir Kapoor, who plays Lord Ram in the film, is expected to headline a major fan interaction in Delhi on October 31.

The event is planned as part of the movie’s effort to connect with audiences in North India before its global theatrical release.

Yash to Meet Fans in Bengaluru

Yash, who portrays Ravana, is expected to lead the Bengaluru fan event on November 1.

The appearance is significant for the film’s South Indian outreach, particularly given Yash’s massive popularity in Karnataka and across the southern markets.

Hyderabad Event Also Being Considered

The makers are reportedly considering another major event in Hyderabad as they expand the promotional campaign.

A South India-focused event could help the film build connections with audiences across Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam markets.

‘Ramayana Part 1’ Release Date

Ramayana Part 1, also referred to as Ramayana: The Introduction, is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on November 6, 2026.

The film is directed by Nitesh Tiwari and is the first instalment of a planned two-part adaptation of the Indian epic.

Ranbir as Lord Ram, Yash as Ravana

The film features Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, while Yash plays Ravana. Sai Pallavi portrays Sita and Sunny Deol plays Lord Hanuman.

The ensemble also includes actors such as Ravi Dubey, Arun Govil, Lara Dutta, Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh and others.

15-Minute Footage Creates Buzz

The promotional push comes after a special 15-minute preview of Ramayana was shown to exhibitors at the Big Cine Expo 2026 in Chennai.

Reports said the footage featured large-scale visual effects, including a one-eyed Daitya and other fantastical creatures. The presentation reportedly impressed exhibitors and generated comparisons with the visual scale of Hollywood fantasy films.

Sunny Deol’s Hanuman Reveal Reportedly Under Wraps

The makers are also reportedly keeping Sunny Deol’s appearance as Lord Hanuman largely under wraps.

According to reports, the character could receive a major reveal towards the film’s climax, with the promotional strategy designed to build anticipation around his appearance.

Aiming for a Pan-India Connect

The Delhi and Bengaluru events are part of a broader strategy to position Ramayana Part 1 as a pan-India cinematic event.

With Ranbir representing the Hindi film industry and Yash bringing a strong South Indian fan base, the promotional campaign is expected to focus on connecting the film with audiences across different regions.

A Global Ambition

The makers have consistently positioned Ramayana as a film intended for a global audience.

The project combines a familiar Indian mythological story with large-scale production and visual effects, while its release strategy is designed to reach audiences in India and overseas.

Music and Visual Effects Add to Scale

The film’s music is another major talking point. Hans Zimmer is composing the background score, while A. R. Rahman is associated with the songs.

Visual-effects work is being handled by DNEG, adding to the film’s international production credentials.

Promotions Gather Pace Before Diwali Release

With the November 6 release date approaching, the upcoming fan events are expected to mark a major phase of the film’s promotional campaign.

The Delhi and Bengaluru appearances could also give fans an opportunity to interact directly with the two stars playing the central opposing characters of Lord Ram and Ravana.
