The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government has implemented all its guarantees at the grassroots level over the past four and a half years and provided better facilities to the people of the state. MLA from the constituency Lakhbir Singh Rai expressed these views while launching a special programme in the villages under the ‘Mann De Munafe’ campaign from Chanarthal Khurd village.
MLA Lakhbir Singh Rai said that the work carried out by the AAP government for the welfare of the people of Punjab since 2022 would be taken to villages and towns through a door-to-door outreach campaign. Listing the benefits under the ‘Mann De Munafe’ campaign, he said that the Punjab Government has benefited families through schemes and facilities including the Mavan-Dhiyan Satikar Scheme, free pilgrimage, free bus travel for women, zero electricity bills, free education in government schools, free tests and medicines at Aam Aadmi Clinics, and canal water, among others.
During the door-to-door campaign, MLA Rai visited various households in Balpur, Chanarthal Kalan, Chanarthal Khurd and Sangatpur Sodhi villages of the constituency. He interacted with families and spoke with people from different sections of society, including senior citizens, women, youth and children. He also distributed cards under a free health insurance scheme providing coverage of up to ₹10 lakh.
MLA Lakhbir Singh Rai said that, through various schemes of the Punjab Government, an ordinary family is receiving benefits worth approximately ₹1.82 lakh annually. Taking a dig at the opposition parties, he said that the opposition had no agenda, whereas the Aam Aadmi Party government was working in the public interest.
Among others present on the occasion were Mohit Sood, Organisation In-charge for the Fatehgarh Sahib constituency; Rajdeep Raju, Sarpanch of Chanarthal Kalan; and Raju, Sarpanch of Chanarthal Khurd.
