Punjab Assembly Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan Flags Off Pilgrims’ Bus for Religious Tour

Kotkapura, October 8:

Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker S. Kultar Singh Sandhwan flagged off a bus carrying devotees from the BDO Office in Kotkapura on Wednesday evening for a religious pilgrimage to Salasar Dham in Churu district and Shri Khatu Shyam Ji in Sikar district, Rajasthan.

Speaking on the occasion, S. Sandhwan said facilitating devotees in visiting religious places was a commendable initiative. He said such religious tours provide devotees an opportunity to visit various religious shrines.

He said that many elderly devotees were earlier unable to visit pilgrimage sites due to their age. The Mukh Mantri Tirath Yatra Scheme being run by the Punjab Government aims to provide elderly people and religious devotees with convenient, safe and free pilgrimage facilities.

Chairman Gurmeet Singh Arewala, Naib Tehsildar Gurcharan Singh, Laddi Dhuddi, constituency in-charge of the Tirath Yatra Scheme, Chairman Trade Wing Naresh Singla, Sarpanch Baldev Singh Bhana, Kaku Sharma MC, Gursewak Singh MC, Roma Brar MC, Sewak Singh Sandhu MC, Block President Mehar Singh and other prominent personalities were also present on the occasion.
