3 November 2026 (Navroze Bureau) Social media personality Orhan Awatramani, popularly known as Orry, has opened up about his strained relationship with Bollywood actor Sara Ali Khan, describing her as a “fake friend” and claiming that she failed to support him during a difficult phase of his life. He also alleged that Sara’s mother, veteran actor Amrita Singh, scolded and abused him, adding that he never received an apology from her.
Orry made these revelations during an appearance on Neha Dhupia and Angad Bedi’s show Double Date. During the conversation, he was asked to name the most famous person he had unfollowed on social media. Orry immediately named Sara Ali Khan and said he had also unfollowed her mother following their reported dispute.
Orry says Sara did not stand by him
Explaining the reason behind the fallout, Orry recalled that he and Sara had known each other since childhood and had also attended college together. According to him, their friendship continued for years, and he had supported Sara during a difficult period when she was dealing with what he described as a major case.
Orry claimed that several people had advised him to distance himself from Sara at that time, but he chose to remain by her side. He said he also supported her family, including her mother and brother.
However, he alleged that when he himself went through a challenging phase, Sara did not contact him or check on his well-being.
“There are fake friendships. This girl was my childhood friend. We were friends through college and then even 10 years after college. I was there for her through so much,” Orry said while explaining his disappointment.
He further claimed that despite standing by Sara when others suggested he should leave, she did not offer him similar support when he needed it. According to Orry, she did not call him or even check on him during that period.
He said the experience made him question the sincerity of their long-standing friendship.
Orry makes allegations against Amrita Singh
Orry also spoke about his alleged disagreement with Amrita Singh. He claimed that Sara’s mother had scolded him and made negative remarks about him to other people. He said the incident left him hurt and that he never received an apology.
Explaining why he could no longer maintain his friendship with Sara, Orry said continuing the relationship would mean overlooking what he claimed had happened between him and Amrita.
He indicated that the absence of an apology was an important reason behind his decision to distance himself from the family.

How did Sara and Orry’s friendship fall apart?

The situation attracted further attention after Orry posted a reel titled “3 worst names”, in which he mentioned the names Sara, Amrita and Palak without using their surnames. The post was widely interpreted as referring to Sara Ali Khan, Amrita Singh and actor Palak Tiwari.
Soon afterwards, Sara and her brother Ibrahim Ali Khan reportedly unfollowed Orry on Instagram, adding to speculation about the breakdown of their friendship. Orry also made remarks about Sara’s acting career during a social media exchange, which further fuelled the discussion.
Orry had earlier spoken about an apology
This is not the first time Orry has discussed the disagreement. In a January 2026 interview with Hindustan Times, he had spoken about the possibility of reconciliation and said that an apology from Amrita Singh could potentially help him move on from the incident.
His latest comments on Double Date suggest that the disagreement remains unresolved from his side. By revisiting the issue, Orry has once again brought his reported fallout with Sara and her family into the spotlight.
The latest revelations have drawn attention to the end of a friendship that Orry says lasted from childhood and college through several years of their adult lives.
