Firozpur, 23 January 2025 :Under the capable leadership of Kuldeep Singh Jassowal, Director of the Dairy Development Department Punjab, the Dairy Development Board Punjab will be conducting a two-week Dairy Training Course from February 3, 2025, at the Dairy Training Centers in Gill (Moga) and Tarn Taran.
In this regard, Deputy Director Dairy Firozpur, Shri Randeep Kumar Handa, informed that the purpose of this training is to bring diversity to farming and increase the income of farmers by adopting dairy farming as a supplementary business. This training is open to young men and women from Firozpur district, who are at least 5th-grade pass, aged between 18 and 55 years, from rural areas, and have land available for the cultivation of green fodder and grain.
Upon completion of the training, the department will facilitate the establishment of dairy units with 2 to 20 animals through dairy loans from various banks, providing a 25% subsidy for general category and 33% for Scheduled Castes (SC).
