Chandigarh February 27 : Today, an important meeting of the Punjab Cabinet was held under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, in which several major decisions were taken. After the meeting, Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema provided detailed information about the decisions made in the Cabinet. He informed that the new excise policy in Punjab has been approved. Harpal Cheema mentioned that e-tendering would be done this year, with a target of ₹11,020 crore.
While providing the information, he stated that the government’s revenue has increased through the excise policy. A revenue of ₹10,200 crore has been generated in 2024-25. Additionally, in the Punjab Cabinet meeting, amendments to the ‘Water Act’ were also approved.
