Chandigarh 6 march 2025 : After the United States, the UK has also started preparing to deport illegal immigrants. The UK’s Labour government has launched a campaign in this regard. Recently, raids were conducted at 828 locations, and around 600 people were arrested. Reports suggest that most of those arrested are Punjabis who had come to the UK on study or tourist visas and have been staying beyond the validity of their visas.
It is noteworthy that during this campaign, small businesses such as Indian restaurants, grocery stores, etc., are being closely monitored. Along with arresting the illegal immigrants, heavy fines are also being imposed on those who employ them. It is important to mention that over 700,000 Punjabis currently reside in the UK, with many of them having come on study visas.
