Security forces eliminate terrorist in Bandipora encounter; 2 soldiers injured

An unidentified terrorist was killed while two security personnel were injured in an encounter in Bandipora district of Jammu and Kashmir.

A police officer said that based on information about the presence of terrorists, security forces launched a cordon and search operation in the Chuntpathri forest area of ​​Bandipora. He said that the encounter started after the terrorists opened fire on the security forces, following which the security forces retaliated.

The official said that one terrorist was killed in the firing, while one Army jawan and one CRPF jawan were injured. He said that the injured were taken to a hospital and the operation is still going on.
