Ferozepur, April 4, 2025 : Deputy Commissioner Deepashikha Sharma (I.A.S.) held a meeting today with officials from the Revenue Department and various other related departments to review revenue-related services, projects, and ongoing tasks.
During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner directed the officials to ensure the timely delivery of citizen services as per the directives of the Punjab Government. She reviewed several revenue-related matters, including land records (Jamabandi), recovery, demarcation, pending mutation cases, compensation for crop damage due to floods, resolution of pending complaints, and other revenue tasks.
The Deputy Commissioner instructed that all public grievances should be addressed promptly. She emphasized the need for inter-departmental coordination and timely completion of government-assigned targets. Detailed discussions were also held regarding land demarcation procedures.
She further instructed the concerned officials to stay fully prepared in advance for the upcoming monsoon season and the possibility of floods, and to regularly inspect and monitor the river embankments.
Deputy Commissioner also directed SDMs to regularly review the functioning of their respective tehsils and instructed tehsildars to continuously monitor their circles. She reiterated that all officers and employees in the Revenue Department should prioritize public interest and complete their duties in a time-bound manner. She also listened to the issues faced by the officers during work and provided on-the-spot guidance for their resolution.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Nidhi Kumud Bambah, SDM Zira Gurmeet Singh, SDM Ferozepur/Guruharsahai Divya P., DRO Major Gurjinder Singh Benipal, along with other officers and employees of the Revenue Department.
