Punjab, May 8, 2025 – Taking a significant step towards providing more opportunities for women in government jobs and promoting gender equality, the Punjab government has introduced and implemented the Punjab Civil Services (Reservation of Posts for Women) Rules.
Social Security, Women and Child Development Minister Baljit Kaur stated that with the implementation of these rules, 33% reservation will be provided for women from all categories in Group A, B, C, and D jobs in the state’s government departments, boards, and corporations. Expressing gratitude to Bhagwant Mann, she said that this move is a testament to the Punjab government’s commitment to creating a gender-neutral and equal society.
