A big update on the ₹1000 scheme for women… registration has now started

Delhi, December 24: Ahead of the Delhi Legislative Assembly elections, the registration for the Chief Minister’s Women’s Empowerment Scheme started on December 23. AAP Supremo Arvind Kejriwal assisted women from the Kidwai Nagar area in registering for the scheme on Monday. He helped them generate the necessary OTP (One-Time Password) and provided them with their registration cards.

During the event, Delhi’s Chief Minister Atishi was also present. Kejriwal had mentioned a day earlier, “Women don’t need to go anywhere, our volunteers will visit your homes to complete the registration process.” The Delhi government had announced the “Chief Minister’s Women’s Empowerment Scheme” in the 2024-25 budget, offering ₹1,000 per month to every woman aged 18 or above.

However, Kejriwal recently stated that if his party returns to power after the February Legislative Assembly elections, the amount would be increased to ₹2,100 under this scheme.

How to Avail the Benefits:

Under the scheme, after registration, women will be given a card that they need to keep safe. The application will be verified, and if the verification is successful, the women who registered will be notified. After this, they will be able to avail the benefits of the scheme.

This scheme is open to all women in Delhi, except for those who receive a pension from the government, work in government jobs, have an annual income exceeding ₹3 lakh, or pay income tax.

Required Documents to Apply:

  • Aadhaar Card
  • PAN Card
  • Voter ID Card
  • Bank account details
  • Address proof (e.g., electricity bill, water bill, or ration card)
  • Income certificate

Summary : The Chief Minister Women’s Honor Scheme offers ₹1,000 monthly to eligible women in Delhi. Registration requires documents like Aadhaar, PAN, voter ID, and income certificate.
