Ferozepur, 1 Aug 2025 : Like every year, this year too, the Independence Day celebration on August 15 will be organized in front of the Cantonment Board Stadium at the District Administrative Complex. To celebrate the event with patriotic spirit and enthusiasm, and to make necessary arrangements in accordance with government guidelines, a meeting was held under the chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Mr. Damanjit Singh Mann at the District Administrative Complex.
During the meeting, the ADC instructed all the officials present to fulfill their departmental responsibilities with full dedication to ensure the successful execution of the Independence Day program. He issued essential directions to officials from various departments including Municipal Council, Education Department, Health Department, PWD, Police, Forest, Horticulture, Dairy, Sports, Water Supply & Sanitation, DDPO, Youth Services, Food & Supplies, and the Information & Public Relations Department to begin preparations for the district-level program.
He further instructed concerned officials to ensure the cleanliness of the VIP stage and ground, arrange vehicle parking, prepare the saluting base, make arrangements for the national flag, organize preparations at the Shaheedi Memorial at Hussainiwala, decorate key areas and intersections, ensure smooth transportation and parking, provide clean drinking water, arrange medical aid, uninterrupted power supply, fire brigade services, and proper toilet facilities. He emphasized that all departments must carry out their assigned duties with utmost seriousness, and no negligence will be tolerated.
On this occasion, SP Mr. Manjeet Singh, Assistant Commissioner (General) Mr. Gurdev Singh, PCS officer under training Mr. Simranjeet Singh, Deputy District Education Officer (AS) Mr. Komal Arora, and other departmental officials were also present.
