Anti-Drug Oath Ceremony Held at School of Eminence

Fazilka, April 22, 2025 : The District Administration Fazilka today organized an oath-taking ceremony against drug abuse at the local School of Eminence to raise awareness about drugs. Assistant Commissioner General Amandeep Singh Mavi attended the event as a special guest, while Chief Minister Field Officer (CMFO) Rupali Tandon was the chief guest.

On this occasion, the students and staff of the school pledged to support the Punjab Government’s campaign, “War Against Drugs.”

Speaking at the event, CMFO Rupali Tandon emphasized the need to fight the battle against drugs with responsibility for the betterment of ourselves, our families, and society. She encouraged students to maintain a healthy diet, focus on studies and sports, and said that every student should choose at least one sport to stay engaged and healthy.

Assistant Commissioner General Amandeep Singh Mavi, in his speech, stated that children are the future of the nation. He reminded the audience that Punjab is the land of brave warriors and martyrs, and its people contributed the most to India’s freedom struggle. He added that the stigma of drug abuse currently tainting our society must be erased, and that we must support the government’s War Against Drugs campaign wholeheartedly.

Earlier, School Principal Hari Chand Camboj welcomed everyone to the event. An anti-drug pledge was administered to raise awareness. Student Maninder Singh delivered a speech against drug abuse, student Kavita recited a poem, and Prabhjot also presented a poem. Under the guidance of teacher Deepak Camboj, the boys’ team from Government Senior Secondary School, Abohar performed a short play. This team has previously represented Punjab in national-level drama competitions.

The event was hosted by Surinder Camboj. Other notable attendees included Vijaypal (DNO, Education Department), Juginder Singh, Vikas Daga, and Sandeep Aneja, who were present as special guests.
