Malerkotla, 22 July 2025: Under the directions of Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. Balbir Singh and the leadership of Civil Surgeon Sanjay Goel, anti-rabies vaccines have been made available in all Aam Aadmi Clinics across Malerkotla district.
Providing information, District Epidemiologist Dr. Munir Muhammad and Dr. Ramandeep Kaur stated that the district health department has ensured the availability of the anti-rabies vaccine at Aam Aadmi Clinics in the villages of Guwara, Mannwi, Banbhora, Dasodha Singh Wala, Kupp Kalan, and Kuthala, as well as in the urban areas of Malerkotla city including Lal Bazaar, Purani Tehsil, and Jamalpura.
On this occasion, Civil Surgeon Sanjay Goel mentioned that now people in the district will no longer have to travel far to receive the anti-rabies vaccine. He said that earlier this vaccine was only administered at district hospitals, sub-divisional hospitals, and community health centers, which forced people to travel long distances. However, now the vaccine has been made available at all Aam Aadmi Clinics in the district, providing people with convenient access near their homes.
He advised that in the case of a dog/animal bite, people should immediately visit their nearest Aam Aadmi Clinic to receive medical assistance and the vaccine. He added that the Malerkotla district health administration is fully committed to public health care, awareness, and treatment.
