Baaghi 4 Monday Box Office Hits Series’ Lowest at ₹4.25 Cr

9 Sep 2025 : Tiger Shroff’s much-anticipated action thriller Baaghi 4 is facing a tough run at the box office. After a promising opening weekend that saw the film cross ₹30 crore, the actioner crashed on Monday, earning just ₹4.25 crore — the lowest Monday collection in the history of the Baaghi franchise.

Directed by Ahmed Khan and co-starring Sanjay Dutt and Harnaaz Sandhu, Baaghi 4 was expected to revive the high-octane action franchise with a fresh storyline and big-budget stunt sequences. However, despite its star-studded cast and intense action choreography, the film has struggled to maintain momentum after its opening weekend.

Industry analysts say the sharp drop indicates mixed word-of-mouth and stiff competition from other ongoing releases. “The Monday numbers are worrying for a film of this scale,” said a trade expert. “While the franchise has a loyal fan base, Baaghi 4 seems to be underperforming compared to its predecessors, both in India and overseas.”

The Baaghi franchise, which started in 2016, has been one of Tiger Shroff’s career-defining series. Baaghi (2016) and Baaghi 2 (2018) were major commercial successes, with Baaghi 2 collecting over ₹160 crore domestically. Baaghi 3 (2020), released just before the COVID-19 lockdown, still managed respectable numbers despite limited theatrical runs.

Fans have praised Tiger Shroff’s action sequences, athleticism, and screen presence, but some critics have pointed out that the story feels repetitive and lacks emotional depth. Sanjay Dutt’s performance as the antagonist has been appreciated, while Harnaaz Sandhu’s debut performance has received mixed reviews.

Producers are now pinning hopes on strong weekday footfalls and the upcoming weekend to help recover some of the film’s production and marketing costs. Overseas markets, particularly in the Middle East and Southeast Asia, could also contribute to steady earnings.

Trade trackers predict that if the film fails to pick up over the next few days, it might end its theatrical run well below the lifetime collections of its predecessors, making it the weakest performer in the Baaghi series.

Despite the box office dip, Tiger Shroff continues to enjoy strong fan support and is already gearing up for his next big releases, including Rambo and a high-budget sci-fi project.

Summary:
Tiger Shroff’s Baaghi 4 saw a major drop on Monday, earning ₹4.25 crore — the lowest in the franchise. Analysts say weak word-of-mouth threatens its box office recovery in coming weeks.
