BSF recovers drone near border, files case against unidentified individual

October 20, 2025  : Border Security Force (BSF) personnel recovered a grey DJI Mavic-3 Classic drone after noticing drone activity in the BOP Barrier Barike area of Ferozepur. In this regard, a case has been registered under the Aircraft Act against an unidentified person at Sadar Ferozepur police station.

Assistant Sub-Inspector Sukhbir Singh of Sadar Ferozepur police station informed that on October 18, 2025, Inspector Sanjay Kumar from BOP Barrier Barike reported that BSF personnel had spotted drone movement in the area. Later, during a search near the Prakash Firing Range, the troops recovered the drone. The police stated that the drone has been seized for investigation, and efforts are underway to identify the unknown accused.
