CBSE’s New Decision Adds Challenges for Students and Teachers

CBSE

Chandigarh 7 march 2025: The decision by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) to conduct exams twice a year starting next year is harmful to both students and teachers. This opinion was expressed by Prof. MP Singh, President of the Coaching Federation Punjab, and other members during a press conference.

The federation members said that the government’s decision to hold board exams twice a year will increase stress among students, and the two exams within a few months will disrupt the balance of students. They also mentioned that this new exam system will cause several problems not only for students and teachers but also for schools. They stated that this will put a double burden on teachers, and students will have to face this situation twice, leading to significant stress.

Dr. Jaspreet Singh said that due to the two exams, the process of evaluating answer sheets will also happen twice, which will affect students’ education as the answer sheets are also checked by teachers, and this process takes time. Federation members also pointed out that schools often conduct pre-board exams before the main board exams. In such a case, school students will have to take pre-board exams twice a year.

In the petition sent to the Prime Minister by the Coaching Federation, it was demanded that before fully implementing this exam system, all aspects of it should be reconsidered.

Summary: CBSE’s latest decision has created additional difficulties for both students and teachers, impacting their preparation and workflow.
