Punjab 13 May 2025 : Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has made his first statement regarding the death of 14 people due to the consumption of toxic liquor in villages of the Majitha Assembly constituency. Calling the incident heartbreaking, he stated that these are not just deaths, but murders.
The Chief Minister said,
“Tragic news has come from some villages around Majitha where several people have died after consuming poisonous liquor. The killers of these innocent people will not be spared at any cost. These are not just deaths — these are murders.”
CM Mann further added that the culprits will be given the strictest punishment under the law so that no one dares to commit such an act in the future. He said he prays to the Almighty for peace to the departed souls and assured that the government stands with the affected families and will provide all possible assistance.
