Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, April 22, 2025 : As part of the Punjab Government’s war against drugs, a new initiative ‘CM di Yogshala’ was launched on April 7 in Mohali district. The aim of this program is to strengthen drug-affected individuals both mentally and physically through yoga, so they can lead a healthy and positive life.
District Coordinator Pratima Davar shared information about the program, stating that the classes are being held daily from 7:00 AM to 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the District Drug De-addiction Center located in Sector-66. These classes are being conducted by yoga instructor Pulkit.
Pratima Davar mentioned that a large number of drug-affected individuals are participating in these classes and are experiencing mental and physical benefits from regular yoga practice. In their feedback, participants reported that yoga has helped them experience mental peace, self-confidence, and positive energy.
They assured that even after leaving the drug de-addiction center, they will continue to attend yoga classes organized under ‘CM di Yogshala’ in their surroundings and will make yoga a permanent part of their lives.
Participants expressed their gratitude to Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann for this commendable initiative and said that this campaign is undoubtedly a strong step toward making Punjab drug-free.
This initiative is not only showing a new path for those affected by addiction but is also a significant effort towards laying the foundation for a healthy society across Punjab.
