Ferozepur, 4 July 2025 : Under the leadership of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the state government launched the CM di Yogshala project in October 2023 across all cities of Punjab to keep people physically and mentally healthy. Residents of Ferozepur have been benefiting greatly from this initiative.
Sharing this information, Deputy Commissioner Deeptika Sharma stated that CM di Yogshala is playing a significant role in fulfilling the dream of a healthy Punjab. She said that under this program, yoga classes are being held regularly in the mornings and evenings at various places in Ferozepur, Guru Har Sahai, Zira, and Makhu, including both urban and rural areas. These classes are completely free of charge and open to everyone.
She urged the district residents to take advantage of their nearest yoga class.
The Deputy Commissioner further informed that the Punjab Government has appointed 90 expert yoga trainers in Ferozepur district, who are conducting morning and evening sessions across tehsils, blocks, and villages. Currently, 311 yoga classes are being held in the district, with nearly 8,000 people participating and benefiting from the sessions.
Providing further information, District Coordinator of the project, Madam Amanpreet Kaur, said that the people of the district are giving overwhelming support to CM di Yogshala. Each trainer is serving with dedication and also spreading awareness about the benefits of yoga along with conducting the sessions.
People of all age groups—children, youth, women, and elderly—are actively participating in these free yoga classes.
