CM Mann’s Tandrust Punjab Mission: 40 Village Sports Grounds Launch in Constituency

Barnala 29 July 2025: Under Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann’s ‘Tandrust Punjab’ mission, large-scale efforts are being made to promote sports across the state. As part of this initiative, significant development of sports infrastructure is also underway in the Bhadaur constituency, where sports grounds will be built in 40 villages at a cost of ₹20 crore.

MLA from Bhadaur, Labh Singh Ugoke, shared this information after inspecting the sports ground being constructed in the village of Sandhu Kalan near Shaehna. Expressing his gratitude to Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, he said that the main objective of the Punjab government is to connect youth with sports grounds and encourage them to pursue sports.

MLA Ugoke specifically mentioned that a large sports ground is being developed in Sandhu Kalan village at a cost of ₹44 lakh, along with a volleyball court at a cost of ₹23 lakh. A special standard track for cricket players is also being built. These sports grounds will have facilities for various games including volleyball, track events, cricket, netball, kabaddi, and football, so that the youth of Punjab can work hard and bring pride to the state and the country.

Labh Singh Ugoke emphasized that while the Punjab government is continuously taking action against drugs, it is equally important to keep the youth away from drugs by building sports grounds in villages. He once again thanked the Punjab government and sent a message to the youth to get involved in sports through these facilities. He expressed confidence that if young people come to play in these grounds, they will surely make their parents proud and stay away from drugs, which sends a powerful social message.

On this occasion, the village panchayats and youth also thanked the Punjab government and MLA Labh Singh Ugoke, calling this initiative crucial for the development of villages and the future of the youth. Leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party including Pragat Singh Modh, Hardeep Singh Harry, and several other dignitaries and villagers were present at the event.

Summary:
Under the Tandrust Punjab initiative, CM Mann’s constituency will receive 40 new sports grounds, fostering youth engagement, promoting fitness, and combating drug misuse.
