Punjab, November 6, 2025: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Harmeet Singh Pathanmajra has been ordered by the Patiala court to appear before it by November 12 in connection with a rape case filed against him. Police have pasted a notice outside his Patiala residence regarding the order. The court has also made it clear that if he fails to appear within the stipulated time, proceedings to declare him an absconder will be initiated.
About two months ago, a rape case was registered against Pathanmajra at the Civil Lines police station in Patiala. When police went to arrest him, he fled from Dabri village in Karnal, Haryana. A separate FIR was also registered in Karnal in connection with this matter.
Earlier, the MLA had filed an anticipatory bail plea in the Patiala court, which was rejected on October 9. Pathanmajra had also released a video on social media, calling the allegations against him a political conspiracy.
