Bathinda, 11 Sep 2025 : DC Mr. Rajesh Dheeman and Municipal Corporation Mayor Mr. Padamjeet Singh Mehita held a special meeting to make the city’s lakes more attractive and a center of attraction. During the meeting, discussions were held on cleaning the lakes, increasing greenery along the banks, and providing modern facilities.
On this occasion, DC Mr. Rajesh Dheeman stated that the district administration will leave no stone unturned in the beautification of lakes. He also mentioned that the necessary funds would be provided. Additionally, he emphasized running cleanliness and greenery campaigns in the city with the support of the public and social organizations.
Mayor Mr. Padamjeet Mehita said that lakes are the heritage of the city, and their maintenance and beautification will promote tourism. He added that plans will be made to develop lighting, seating arrangements, and play areas for children around the lakes to enhance their appeal.
He further stated that the Municipal Corporation will soon launch a tree-planting campaign in Bathinda.
