Delhi blast case: NIA arrests another conspirator from Srinagar

Punjab November 18, 2025  : In the investigation of the car bomb blast that occurred in Delhi’s Red Fort area on 10 November, arrests are continuing one after another. Exposing the technical terror module behind the blast, the NIA made another important arrest on Monday—Jasir Bilal Wani, also known as Danish, who allegedly played a key role in preparing the technical framework of the attack. He has been taken into custody from Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir.

Preliminary NIA investigations indicate that Jasir, a resident of Qazigund, Anantnag, was not just an ordinary conspirator but is considered the technical brain behind the attackers. He not only had expertise in modifying drones but was also reportedly experimenting with making rockets. According to the investigative agency, Jasir remained in constant contact with the main attacker, Umar, before the blast and carried out several technical preparations.

The person driving the i20 car used in the blast was not a professional terrorist but Umar Un Nabi, an assistant professor at Al-Falah University in Faridabad. His identity has been confirmed through forensic reports, and a second vehicle belonging to him has also been seized during the investigation. This incident points to the fact that even modern, educated individuals are being involved in terrorist modules to provide technical knowledge.

On Sunday, the NIA had arrested another Kashmiri resident, Aamir Rasheed Ali, who helped purchase the car used in the blast for the suicide attacker. These two arrests indicate that the blast was not carried out by just one or two people but involved an organized network.

Summary:
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) apprehended an additional suspect linked to the Delhi blast, arresting a conspirator from Srinagar as the investigation into the case continues.
