Jalandhar, 3 Oct 2025: Deputy Commissioner Dr. Himanshu Agarwal distributed certificates to 30 trainees who successfully completed the Caregiver-Mother-Child (Non-Clinical) course, conducted under the joint initiative of the Punjab State Rural Livelihood Mission (PSRLM) and the Punjab Skill Development Mission (PSDM).
The Deputy Commissioner informed that 30 members of the Self-Help Group from Giddarpindi village in Lohian block were provided this training. He said that after imparting theoretical training through the training partner, the trainees also received on-the-job training at CHC Lohian.
Reiterating the Punjab Government’s commitment towards women empowerment, Dr. Agarwal said this initiative marks a significant step towards strengthening women empowerment across the district. He added that such efforts will continue in the future so that women can acquire employment-oriented skills and improve their standard of living. Additional Deputy Commissioner (Rural Development) Navdeep Kaur was also present on the occasion.
Congratulating the trainees, the Deputy Commissioner extended his best wishes for their future and expressed hope that the women would connect their knowledge with employment and service, becoming a source of inspiration for other women as well.
The trainees expressed gratitude to the Deputy Commissioner, stating that the training not only boosted their self-confidence but also paved the way for new employment opportunities.
On this occasion, Swami Pragyanand Society Chairman from Nakodar, Vipin Sharma; District Manager, Punjab Skill Development Mission, Suraj Kaler; BTM Mandeep Kaur; DFM, PSRLM Komal Kashyap; and Accountant Vikas Bakhshi were also present.
