Deputy Commissioner Holds Review Meeting for District-Level Independence Day Celebrations

Faridkot 22 July 2025  : A review meeting regarding the preparations for the district-level Independence Day celebration to be held on August 15, 2025, was conducted under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Madam Poonamdeep Kaur. Officers from the civil and police administration participated in the meeting.

While addressing the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner stated that, like every year, this year too the Independence Day celebrations will be held with full devotion and enthusiasm at Nehru Stadium in Faridkot. She mentioned that the purpose of celebrating this day is not only to rejoice in freedom but also to honor the great martyrs and freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for independence.

She further informed that a grand march-past will be conducted by BSF, Punjab Police, and NCC cadets, and the national flag will be saluted. Students from various schools will perform PT shows and cultural programs showcasing patriotism.

On this occasion, freedom fighters, individuals with special achievements in sports, education, and other fields, along with diligent officers and employees, will be honored for their contributions.

The Deputy Commissioner also instructed police officials to make special arrangements such as dedicated traffic routes, mobile police teams, and designated parking areas in advance to avoid any inconvenience. She emphasized that all officials must perform their duties with full honesty and dedication, warning that no negligence will be tolerated and strict action will be taken against those found lacking.
