November 12, 2025 : Bhojpuri actress Neelam Giri was recently evicted from the reality TV show Bigg Boss 19 after spending 11 weeks in the house. In her post-eviction media appearances, a question raised among viewers was whether she had Googled her friend and fellow contestant Tanya Mittal after returning home.
In an interview with HT, Neelam clarified that she did not research or Google Tanya immediately after her eviction. She said:
“I didn’t research or look up anything about Tanya because I was a little upset after the eviction. But since then, I have genuinely considered Tanya a friend. I will continue to see her as my friend even outside the house.”
During her time inside the Bigg Boss house, Neelam and Tanya had developed a close friendship. That bond, however, was often subject to scrutiny by other contestants and the audience—some claiming that Tanya may have been using the friendship for game strategy. When asked about those perceptions, Neelam defended the relationship:
“I don’t think Tanya’s friendship is fake. I gave as much importance to her as she did to me.”

She admitted that immediately after leaving the house, her focus was on processing her experience rather than digging into others. Later, she said she’d maintained contact with Tanya and would continue to treat the friendship as real.
On the topic of whether the show is scripted, Neelam said she believes Bigg Boss is not scripted and that everything—including fights and emotional moments—was genuine. She said the process after eviction involves about 15-20 minutes of being allowed to gather belongings, meet people, and then exit for home.
