Faridkot, 13 Aug 2025 : District Magistrate Faridkot, Ms. Poonamdeep Kaur, exercising powers under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita 2023, has issued orders imposing a complete ban on the sale of spray paint and gun paint by paint store owners within the district. This is to prevent miscreants from using spray or gun paint to write objectionable words or slogans.
She stated that the Chief Minister of Punjab will be specially attending the state-level Independence Day function in Faridkot. Therefore, to maintain peace and law and order, these orders have been issued. These restrictions will remain in effect until August 15, 2025.
