Moga, January 7, 2025:The final publication of voter lists has been completed based on the eligibility date of January 1, 2025, by the Election Commission of India for all 4 Assembly constituencies in the Moga district. The final voter lists were handed over to the authorized political parties of the district by the District Election Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner Moga, Shri Vishesh Sargal, in the form of hard copies (photo voter lists) and CDs (soft copies without photos).
Election Tehsildar Moga, Shri Barjinder Singh Bagga, while addressing the representatives of various political parties, informed that according to the voter list, there are now a total of 7,59,457 registered voters in the Moga district. Among them, 404,120 are male voters, 355,300 are female voters, and 37 are third-gender voters. The total number of polling stations is 804.
Shri Barjinder Singh Bagga also urged political party representatives to check the names included in the voter list at their level after the final publication. He requested the representatives to cooperate with the Election Commission of India and comply with the issued instructions.
He also mentioned that citizens who are 18 years or older on January 1, 2025, and have not yet registered to vote can apply for registration or corrections on their voter card during working days by visiting their concerned BLO or SDM office. Additionally, they can fill out an online form on the Election Commission’s website. If any difficulty arises, they can call the toll-free number 1950 for further assistance. If any voter needs corrections in their voter card or wants to cancel their vote, they can also fill out the required form.
Representatives of various political parties were present at the event, including Sanjeev Kochhar from Congress, Himant Singh from BJP, Gurpreet Singh from Shiromani Akali Dal, Amit Puri from Aam Aadmi Party, Gurpreet Singh from BSP, and Rohit Kalra from CPI(M).
