Four Malerkotla BLOs Honoured for Outstanding Performance During SIR-2026 on Independence Day

Malerkotla, August 17

On the occasion of Independence Day, four Booth Level Officers (BLOs) from Malerkotla district were honoured by Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. Balbir Singh for their outstanding performance, hard work and dedication in discharging their duties during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR)-2026.

The honoured BLOs include Mohammad Javed Iqbal, Shakeel Mohammad, Harjinder Singh and Praveen Kumar. During SIR-2026, these BLOs performed their responsibilities with utmost honesty, hard work and dedication, making a significant contribution to the systematic and effective preparation of electoral rolls.

Their dedicated performance not only helped streamline the SIR process but also ensured that voter-related tasks were completed efficiently and within the stipulated time. Their hard work also served as a source of inspiration for other BLOs.

It is noteworthy that, as a result of the hard work, dedication and collective efforts of the entire election team, including the BLOs, Malerkotla district secured second position across Punjab in the performance of SIR-2026. This achievement reflects the dedicated efforts of the district administration and election staff.

On the occasion, Health Minister Dr. Balbir Singh lauded the honoured BLOs and said that the role of BLOs working at the grassroots level is extremely important in making the electoral process transparent, impartial and robust. He said that their hard work and dedication make a direct contribution to strengthening democracy.
