Good News for Punjab Employees: Government Issues New Orders

Chandigarh 27 May 2025 : The Cabinet Sub-Committee of the Punjab Government held meetings today with representatives of eight different employee unions. The purpose of these meetings was to discuss their legitimate issues and ensure they are resolved as soon as possible.

The unions involved included:

  • Berozgar Sanjha Morcha Punjab
  • 3704 Adhyapak Union
  • Meritorious Teachers Union
  • A.I.E. Temporary Teachers Union (Session 2012–14)
  • Union of Temporary Teachers with 10 Years of Service
  • Berozgar 646, PTI (2011) Adhyapak Union
  • PWD Field and Workshop Workers Union
  • All Punjab DST/CTS Contract/Guest Faculty Instructor Union

During the meetings, which lasted nearly three hours, detailed discussions were held with union leaders. The ministers gathered updates from relevant officials on the current status of the unions’ demands and instructed them to resolve all justified demands at the earliest.

Union leaders expressed gratitude to the Finance Minister and appreciated the cordial atmosphere of the meetings. They acknowledged the seriousness shown by the AAP-led Punjab Government and expressed hope that their pending issues would be resolved soon, bringing much-needed relief to the affected employees.

The ministers assured the employee unions that their demands would be thoroughly considered and every effort would be made to ensure fair and timely resolutions.

The meetings concluded on a positive note, leaving the unions with a sense of hope and assurance. Key representatives present included:

  • From Berozgar Sanjha Morcha Punjab: Convenor Jaswant Singh Ghubaya, Raman Kumar Malot, and Harjinder Singh Jhuneer
  • From 3704 Adhyapak Union: State President Harjinder Singh, Yadvinder Singh, and Jagjeevanjot Singh
  • From Meritorious Teachers Union: Senior Vice President Dr. Tina, Dr. Ajay Sharma, and Davinder Singh
  • From A.I.E. Temporary Teachers Union (2012–14): State President Tajinder Kaur and Manju Sharma
  • From 10 Years Temporary Teachers Union: State President Jaspal Singh and General Secretary Baljinder Muktsar
  • From Berozgar 646, PTI (2011): Gurlabh Singh, C.P. Sharma, and Vakil Ram
  • From PWD Field and Workshop Workers Union: Makhan Singh Wahidpuri and Baljinder Singh
  • From All Punjab DST/CTS Contract/Guest Faculty Instructor Union: Sandeep Singh, Kirandeep Singh, and Neena Rani
